Local Testers
While we recommend you use a licensed tester for testing during a real estate transaction, if you are performing a routine test ( and we recommend them every 2 years), you can obtain a free radon test kit from the State of Illinois at www.radon.illinois.gov . Also, many local county health departments have a free radon test kit program. Please contact one of the above if it will meet your needs. For real estate transactions, we recommend contacting any one of the licensed testers listed below.
